Rob Vogt

Rob focuses on acquisitions and appraisals, working directly with families, fiduciaries, museums, and private collections of all types. Mr. Vogt has more than twenty-five years experience and continuing education in accredited categories pertaining to antiques and residential contents, and is a Qualified Appraiser per IRS & USPAP regulations. As Director of Vogt Auction Galleries, Rob heads operations for the noted regional auction house specializing in the valuation and marketing of a wide variety of objects with a focus on antiques, fine art, coins & jewelry, rugs & textiles, lighting, 18th-20th Century objets d’ art, firearms & militaria, early advertising, rare books, historic Texas artifacts, general residential contents, and vehicles.

Prior to joining Vogt Auction Galleries, Rob was a Senior Producer at Yahoo!, a TV anchor/reporter, and an editor for the San Antonio Express-News. Rob also performs several charity auctions throughout the year and has appeared on PBS and The History Channel. Mr. Vogt loves collecting early fiction books, art nouveau silver, and Socialist-Realist art.
